There is a common misconception that charity care for breast cancer is widely available. Nothing could be further from the truth. Not only is WINGS the only organization of its kind in the South Texas community, it is the only one of its kind in the United States. View our graph for a comparison of services.
Since it's inception in 1999, there is no other comparable program in the United States. WINGS
meets the needs of its patients through the provision of diagnostic
testing, surgery, chemotherapy expenses, as well as services not
traditionally offered -- but sorely needed -- such as outpatient
medication and psychosocial counseling.
