Terri Bronocco Jones - Executive Director

Terri Jones serves as vice president and executive director of WINGS, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing top-quality breast care to uninsured and underinsured women.

   She most recently served as communications director for the South Texas Cancer Institute at Methodist Hospital. Prior to joining STCI, Jones was director of corporate contributions at the Cancer Therapy and Research Center.

   Jones began her career in 1975 with The Associates. In 1982, she was named corporate spokesperson for GTE in New York City. She was elected vice president for external affairs at US Sprint in the company's Washington, D.C. office.

A cancer and bone marrow transplant survivor, Jones lectures and writes about her experiences. In 2000, she was honored with Oprah's "Use Your Life" and Macy's "Heart and Soul" awards. Women in Communications named her a "2001 Headliner" for her work with WINGS and volunteer efforts on behalf of breast cancer patients. She was inducted into the San Antonio Women's Hall of Fame in March 2005.

Jones currently serves on the Southwest Region board of Redes en Accion, an NCI-sponsored organization addressing the issue of cancer among Hispanics, and is a member of the San Antonio Clinical Trials Task Force.
